Kensington remains at the top of the exclusive property list

The Royal Albert Hall, the V&A Museum and Sigmund Freud. They all have one thing in common, and that’s Kensington. Kensington has always had a reputation for housing only the rich and famous, and many ambitious people are determined to own a piece of exclusive property in the area. But what makes this bold borough so appealing to local Londoners and can we mere mortals share this prestigious postcode?

Any estate agent in Kensington will let you know that the exclusive Kensington property market is in top form, even though many of the houses for sale in Kensington have the highest price tags in London. The area is home to many affluent people including various politicians and British celebrities. Recent research done by the Land Registry revealed that a single property in this exclusive area holds an estimated value of approximately £728,000. Other boroughs with the most exclusive properties in the UK include the trendy Chelsea and Hyde Park areas.

Ask a letting agent in Kensington and they will tell you that even though the prices of exclusive properties in the UK are incredibly high, the average Londoner still has the opportunity to rent a home or apartment in Kensington. The recession seems to have prompted a trend among Kensington property owners, who have started to rent out their exclusive apartments. Exclusive properties such as these are known as “pied-a-terre apartments.” Prices for studio apartments for rent in the area start off at approximately £1200 per month

As well as being a part of the exclusive London property list, Kensington is also a shopper’s paradise. Beautiful boutiques and department stores line the high street, which is perfect for a full day of retail therapy. The area is filled with exciting attractions including museums, exquisite architecture, and theatres. Kensington’s location in central London makes it very appealing to commuters, who benefit from shortened travelling times.

Kensington was recently added to the “most expensive streets in London” list. The roads that made the list included Eldon Road, Albert Place and Victoria Road. The cloud over London’s property market appears to have a silver lining as estate agents claim that homes are selling nearly 50% more quickly than a few months ago. But even though rentals are not sky-high, exclusive property for sale in this area can still only be bought by people who can afford to enjoy the finer things in life.

Anna Nicole Smith’s Former Boyfriend Howard K. Stern and Doctors to Stand Trial

Howard K. Stern and two doctors have been ordered to stand trial for feeding the prescription drug addiction that led to the death of Anna Nicole Smith. According to Fox News, the judge who oversaw the hearing decided that there was enough evidence to charge the three with conspiracy, to provide Smith with large amounts of sedatives and opiates.

The defense attorneys argued that Attorney Howard K. Stern, Dr. Sandeep, and psychiatrist Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, fought desperately to save Smith in her waning years, including through the period of the birth of her daughter, and the death of her son, who also died of drug overdose.

Fox News reported that one of the prosecution’s evidence produced in the hearing was a transcript of an investigator’s interview with Anna Nicole Smith’s friend, who stated that she witnessed Stern placing pills in Smith’s mouth. In an interview with Fox News, Gina Shelley said “He poured them in her mouth like you would a bird”

The Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry, in his ruling stressed that only a minimal proof is required for a reasonable person to suspect that the defendants committed the alleged crimes. One charge against Eroshevich that she provided Smith with placebos was dropped due to insufficient evidence.

Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental drug overdose involving nine medications at a hotel in Florida, in 2007. The defendants were not being charged with causing Smith’s death, but the three are accused of conspiracy in illegally providing Smith with controlled substances and supplying drugs to an addict. The defense attorneys argue that they did not know Smith was an addict, but were only trying to help her.

Low stress Online earning , On demand products, Your own affiliate system, System done for you, Free!

You read it right! And its true. Its a system setup so that you earn by selling the products it promotes, and earn through the sales made by others whom you lead to sign-up to the same system. The greatest news - It’s free! No credit card required. It’s totally free.

How the creators earn from this system earn, if they have provided it free? A small percentage of the sale goes to them, for earning and maintenance costs. It seems that they rely on the principle that the more easily a system is availed by people, the more people will avail and the more easy is the earning. “You get what you give…”

The products that you can promote through the system involve a variety of categories such as marketing, health, cooking. And they are priced reasonably to me. Not the kind that are pumped up for commissions. You can check them yourself once you sign-up for free. To give an example. How about a system to advertise a 10$ million worth of ads for free just for the price of $47. For moms, how about a cooking recipe library of 30 ebooks that caters for varieties such as appetizers, sandwiches, desserts, main dishes, for the price of $19.95. These types of products and many others you are capable of selling for reasonable prices at very good commission rates.

The product selection in this system may not be as wide in variety as the thousands in e-stores such as e-bay and amazon… but another good feature is that you can use this system to promote and sell other products and actually earn a little bit more. They have this system that lets you shorten your product affiliate urls. Its not the same as other url shortening service offered in the sense that it actually pay you for using the service FREE! So this affiliate system can also act as an overall managing system for the products you promote.

These features make this system which they call appropriately as “Low-stress income” is one of the best of its kind for the appropriate users. I signed up through this system and hope to earn good from this, and likewise hope the same for you. Sign-up free!

“With all wisdom, the best known to be promoted.”

Finding Capitol Hill Jobs is Too Easy

14

Posted on : 03-10-2009 | By : admin

How do you find congressional jobs? Simple. Contact your home representative’s DC office and ask for a meeting with the Chief of Staff. It doesn’t matter what party it is… well, it sort of does. Your only concern right now is meeting this person or the represenative if you’re lucky. The point is to make this person your main contact for the time being if you don’tknow anyone connected to Capitol Hill.

Call and email this person. Set upa time to meet with them to talk about potential job openings in that office or discuss your resume, goals and experience. If you can afford to do an internship, then ask the Chief of Staff if you can do it there or in another office they can put you in contact with (or in one you can feel more comfortable working in).

If you choose not to go the internship route, ask the Chief of Staff who you can talk to next in another office. You might try the two senators next. Ask to meet with their chiefs of staff. Ultimately you’llmeet with enough people you’llhave a small number of contacts you did not have before.

Keep in contactwith these contacts every month or two if you have zero luck finding any congressional jobs. They’lllet you know what they hear if you keep in touchwith them. It works out that way a lot of times. And sometimes if an opportunity opens up in that office, they may contact you if they liked you enough or need someone from the district or state you are from.

How India will sort out these challenges?

9

Posted on : 01-10-2009 | By : admin

There are lots of evils that are eating India and worsening day by day. If these issues are not addressed, then it might create other big problems for India. I have listed few but major issues that India is fighting with.
Corruption- Unlike other countries, corruption is rampant in India. Tipping point of corruption has passed in India. It is not likely to correct in near future. Tens of thousands of Anti corruption departments and sub departments have been set up by the Government, but of no use. The root cause of corruption in India is, spread of corruption in Indian politics. Unfortunately, it is believed that large number of politicians in India are corrupt and furthermore, many have been caught red handed in many sting operations. It is impacting other departments, Govt machinery, Police, Judiciary, Army and even general public.
Religious superstition- In India, people are quite superstitious and subscribe to various ideologies that are based on prejudices and blind faith. One can find people doing lots of things that can be called sheer superstition. There is no unanimity among most Indians on concepts of religion and God. I could have quoted lots of things which can be called superstitious, but it may make my article controversial.
Communalism- People of all major religions have made India their home and have been living here for centuries. Clashes between Majority Hindus with Minorities like Muslims, Christians, Sikhs etc are very common in India. Gujarat riots, riots during demolition of Babri Masjid (Babri Mosque), 1984 Sikh riots Slaughter of Christians in Kandhmal riots (kandhmal is a part of an eastern state of India) are few of the various massacres.
Unrest in society- People in India get panicked very easily. Indian Media adds fire to the fuel. Few unpleasant incidents in the nation of over 100 Crores population can create hue and cry in the whole country. Religious riots, Casteism ( a mythological concept which suggests that all people have born out of head, chest , hands and feet of Hindu gods.) etc have been responsible for rampant unrest in Indian society.
Political instability- There are various political parties in India that represent Indians. There are always ideological differences between these parties. Some parties are very communal and even say India belongs to only Hindus and rest should leave India or convert to Hinduism.
Law and order situation- Crime is rising day by day and news of rapes, mugging, shootouts, murders, suicides, Domestic violence, Extortion etc, dominate Indian news papers. Corruption among Indian police is rampant and mother of worsening law and order in Indian cities especially metropolitan cities. There are states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and  (It is a group of people who are fighting with Government of India to free their land) affected Areas, where almost police control is very less or nil.
Poverty- Many Indians are getting Rich but at the same time many Indians have got even poorer. Farmers have committed suicides in large numbers. Govt have taken lots of steps to prevent suicides, but unfortunately due to corruption, policies hardly benefit them.
Rising inequality of income- Many people may have earned a lot of money, but their percentage to total population is very less. There are still hundreds of thousands of people who are still living below poverty and their standard of living is extremely poor even today. One can see hundreds of beggars on the roads, religious places like Temples, Mosques, shrines, and streets of India. Mechanisation of Agriculture and Drug addiction have made situation even worse.
Naxalism- Naxal is a new word used for those tribal people who are fighting with Govt of India to free their agricultural land which was formerly taken by Govt for the purpose of industrialisation and urbanisation. These people have taken up arms against Government and some of them even desirous of making a new country. These people often kill hundreds of policemen, blow up police stations, and assassinate kin of politicians.
People of India - A big section of Indian society is very ignorant, illiterate and superstitious. They are very hide bound and don’t want to improve their present condition. They don’t encourage progress and development and against new ideas, technology etc.
Terrorism- Unlike other countries, India too is suffering from terrorism. There are many reasons behind this. Lacks of political will power, corruption and other problems have even worsened this situation.

Every country experiences many internal problems, so is India. These problems may be dangerous in future if not solved immediately.
